When longtime Atlanta residents Raf and Jamie Morales set out to find a location for a first-of-its-kind event venue, they knew they had stumbled upon something special at 559 Dutch Valley Road… a former Atlanta landmark, One Midtown Kitchen, nestled in a quiet neighborhood and backing up to midtown’s Piedmont Park.
Those who know Atlanta know that Piedmont Park is one of its most iconic landmarks and most cherished spots—the heart of the city both figuratively and geographically. It’s a place where friends gather, couples fall in love, families make memories, and people of all walks of life converge to exercise mind, body and spirit and enjoy Atlanta’s year-round natural beauty. The park holds special meaning for so many Atlanta residents and visitors, so they knew, upon finding this special location, that they had to somehow incorporate the park into the name for their new venue…
After months of research and careful consideration, The 1904 on Piedmont Park was proudly named in celebration of the year the park was purchased by the City of Atlanta and permanently preserved as a park for the people. The watermarked bird in our brand identity gives a playful nod to the exceptional birdwatching in this corner of the park.
Our Founders
Together, Raf and Jamie created Ibiza Event Catering in 2010, quickly growing the business into one of the Southeast’s premier boutique catering companies. Their creations earned the company immediate accolades from The Food Network and Atlanta Magazine.
After catering in a variety of settings over the years, they recognized the need for a new class of event space—simple, elegant and thoughtfully designed with a serene vibe and charming character that captured the spirit of the city and all they had come to love about Atlanta.
In 2021, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic they began their search, drawing them to the Atlanta landmark formerly known as One Midtown Kitchen. The building was purchased in January 2023 and went through a complete renovation over two years, with design by Tim Nichols from NO Architecture, whose projects include The Optimist, St. Cecilia, BeetleCat and Superica. The 1904 on Piedmont Park opened in January 2025 and became the new home to Ibiza Event Catering.

Since opening our doors at the start of the year, The 1904 on Piedmont Park has quickly become one of Atlanta’s most sought-after event destinations. In just our first year, we’ve proudly hosted a remarkable lineup of celebrations — from elegant weddings and milestone birthdays to dynamic corporate gatherings and private soirées.
Our space has welcomed dozens of couples, forward-thinking companies, and countless guests, all drawn to the venue’s timeless charm and park views. Each event has helped shape our story — one filled with connection, creativity, and unforgettable experiences.
Many of our events come from word-of-mouth referrals — a testament to the unforgettable experiences shared within our walls. Couples who celebrated their wedding day here have returned to attend friends’ receptions; corporate clients have expanded their partnerships with us to host recurring events and retreats.
As we reflect on this exciting first year, we’re filled with gratitude and inspiration for what lies ahead. Our mission remains the same: to provide an elegant, welcoming, and flexible space that allows people to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories in the heart of Atlanta.
